Sure, I'd give it a shot! If the issue doesn't resolve itself, you'll need to purchase a new key—either because it's outdated or you have an older Windows 7 key. It seems like it should work once that's done.

Your laptop's Windows 10 license key is saved in the BIOS. Activators don't change or interfere with the BIOS, so when you install a new SSD and set up Windows, everything should work fine. Your original key will be recognized automatically, and Windows won't request it again. Just follow the steps.

It will launch with its original manufacturer license. If not, purchase an inexpensive key online or simply use it with the watermark (or eliminate the watermark to become a genuine pirate).

For future clarity, the Windows 10 activation key is kept on the motherboard or BIOS, so you don’t have to purchase a new one each time you reinstall. The only real possibility is that this “pirated copy” might accidentally remove the original key.

Updated message to the team. The setup succeeded using the media creation tool on MS’s site and installing Windows 10 Home 64-bit. The system detected the key on the motherboard and started automatically. Thanks for your support!
