You're looking for a way to securely reach your ESP-16 console from anywhere in your home. By connecting the Netgear Wi-Fi bridge to your router and excluding its IP from DHCP, you should gain consistent access across the network. This setup helps avoid interference from other devices and ensures stable connectivity while working comfortably on the sofa.

I think what you're discussing is simply extending the current Wi-Fi range. I'm not certain if it relies on an IP address, but if it links you back to the existing Wi-Fi from the main router, then you can access it remotely from any location inside the home.

Yes, you can set a fixed IP address through your router's DHCP configuration—it’s usually simpler than disabling it. Also, does your device support Wi-Fi?

I don't think that's correct. I actually need around 10 addresses removed for random projects too. The router I'm using at home is just a tenda ac1900—it's really dependable for a home network. I also have a Linksys model running dd-wrt and another on LEdE if needed. I mainly kept them because the setup was enjoyable.

It functioned properly now. I was really stressing too much. The updated firmware for my bridge also caused some instability.
