Zen's turbo feature has thermal constraints, unlike Intel's timing methods. However, the simplest option is to use 1usmus's Clocktuner for Ryzen.

Enabling PBO in the BIOS can help the CPU automatically boost its speed, provided your cooler and case ventilation are sufficient. This feature is helpful because it lets cores run faster, which is especially useful when you’re using just a few cores and performance depends more on single-core speed than multi-threading.

I understand the presence of PBO, but I think it's unnecessary since in practical applications (like cinebench) the gains are usually tough to tell apart without detailed undervolting.

You're welcome! Yes, I use it for streaming, gaming, and everyday tasks. Just turning on PBO and Auto OC in the BIOS should be enough. Let me know if you need anything else!

It wasn't what I expected, Cinebench highlighted a significant gap between PBO on and off—3500 points higher on r23, 1200 on r20. I think it won’t really impact most games or apps, but improved speed is still valuable. I didn’t change any settings, just turned it on for a bit more performance when needed. I don’t recall anything before, but I usually see 4.4 to 4.6Ghz in games since they don’t overload all cores.
