I updated my PC today after working with new tubing runs. The coolant temperatures remain consistent. My idle temperatures are typically between 40-55°C, which isn’t unusual. I haven’t noticed such high idle readings before. When I used the ASUS board, I ran the "PBO enchantment" and it seemed to improve performance while reducing temps. Could this be the reason? Are there any BIOS settings on the ASUS side that could achieve similar results and lower temperatures? Also, both systems were using a Kyros sheet, but I’m still unsure if this is unique to ASUS.
On the primary overclocking interface, there is a choice for PBO maximum temperature and an optimization code. The exact name of this option isn't clear to me, though it appears consistently across all motherboard brands. Within the AMD Overclocking settings, you can adjust PBO parameters and the curve optimizer directly. The "PBO adjustments" essentially refer to one-click modifications to the curve optimizer and the PBO temperature cap, allowing for quicker configuration without navigating to a front-page menu.
