SIM card setup on an ATT mobile device
We recently purchased my grandmother a Moto G Power. ATT claims the device isn’t supported because it only handles 2G speeds, but the phone’s MFG date is from 2022 with Android 11 installed, and its details show LTE compatibility. I’m confused about what to do and unsure if ATT’s support options are even available.
Talking from Canada so the carriers are different than in the US. You are right that the Moto G power 2022 is compatible with LTE. This is not a mega super duper smartphone, but it is a well rounded device and you certainly can't get better for the price. Moto phones are nice You probably can make AT&T activate the phone by going to a store. The sellers will be more knowledgeable than a support monkey. But the best thing to do, in my opinion, is to go to another carrier. Unless there is a big advantage to go for AT&T, there should be many carriers (and virtual carriers) offering similar or better rates and coverage. Have a nice day !
