Silicon Quality
Silicon Quality
Hello! I wonder if the first Ryzen 3000 chips were less reliable because they came from a newer manufacturing stage when launched versus those produced later. Would the early models perform worse simply because the production process had matured over time? It’s an interesting question about how timing affects quality. Thanks!
There is a variation in silicon quality between early and later production chips, but the impact on stock boost clocks will be negligible. Improvements in later chips may become noticeable during overclocking, though it wouldn't be significant. So, yes, there is a difference. No need to worry. Cheers
