Silent Hill 2 for PC runs on both NTSC and PAL standards.
Hello everyone, I discovered a few decent deals on EBay for genuine used copies of Silent Hill 2’s PC port. I have a couple of points to ask: 1) PAL editions are much more affordable; can I run the PAL version on my system in the US? 2) If I do get the PAL version, will the community mod called ‘Enhanced Edition’ function properly with it? In short, would the PAL edition be worth the effort, or should I opt for the NTSC version instead? Thanks! Best, a fellow Konami critic
The North American and European versions of the PC game work well with the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition project. ?? Probably what you were looking for—though it seems like a fun twist on something else!
That response addressed my query; I noticed the PAL note on the site immediately after I shared it and thought, "Oops."
Here’s a revised version of your sentence:
I’m sharing this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/383729047251?ha...SwMwNfZfeK. Even more interesting—18 people are currently watching it.
It's not about stealing or piracy; abandonedware refers to software that's been left unused for a long time and can't be legally obtained anymore. Don't worry if you find items from myabandonware—people often share them freely. Also, even if you get the disc for Silent Hill 2, it usually needs community patches to function properly, so keeping the game might not be necessary.
The site referenced might include content labeled as abandoned software, but the version available here has DRM removed. Bypassing copyright rules—whether through instructions or actual files—is considered illegal. Unless you have the authentic copy, this approach won’t be accepted.
I didn’t go into the specifics. Sorry if I seemed careless. For these big collections, I’m keeping my stance—it’s hard to see why anyone would think it’s worth it. Some friends even traded or donated their PS2 games during cleanup. What makes this game stand out is why people feel they’re paying for a second-hand car made of plastic and paper.
