Significant network latency spikes observed in online gaming environments.
Hello everyone, I've been experiencing sudden ping spikes while playing PUBG. The ping often jumps to around 1200, which is concerning. I use a mobile hotspot for gaming because my broadband isn't available nearby due to wiring issues, and my SIM card only provides 4G with a decent speed of 3 to 4 MBPS for a month at just $5. I'm wondering what to do next. I was thinking about getting a router that uses my SIM card to create WiFi and can also act as a USB tether for my PC. I'm not sure if I explained it clearly enough, but that's the situation I'm facing! Thanks in advance. Also, I live in India.
These networks aren't built for consistent delays, which means you're largely limited to what they provide.
You are likely linked with players on the Mumbai server. These are the three IP addresses commonly used for PUBG servers in Mumbai (gathered from this site): 13.126.0.252, 35.154.63.252, and 52.66.66.2. For deeper investigation, run the following steps: On Windows, launch the command prompt by typing 'CMD' and pressing Enter. A black terminal will appear. Execute: ping 13.126.0.252 -n 10000 This will send 10,000 pings to that IP every second. Observe the response times. If you see delays or lost packets, it indicates an issue with the connection path. You can test other sites, like your ISP’s network, to check for similar problems. If they show issues too, the problem may lie with your mobile provider—possibly fixable by switching carriers. Sometimes the fix is at your device, such as using a dedicated 4G router, but often it’s the ISP infrastructure that needs attention.
I face issues linking to the internet occasionally, which is quite inconvenient. I’m hoping the advice given can assist me too. By the way, I reside in North Korea. Seriously, though, do you have satellite services available? The ones from the US seem much improved compared to the past. India should offer more reliable options.
But I received a ping between 100-150 during play (manageable for me). The issue began on March 22, 2018; before that everything worked fine.
