I've observed significant ping fluctuations on my network lately. Initially, it appeared in games, but checking gameserverping.com and testing a continuous ping to google revealed the issue affects all connections. It occurs even between my PC and router, with everything appearing normal until suddenly a full second of high ping appears, followed by a timeout (this triggers a crash in cmd). I have a Netgear OBI AC modem/router using a single AC satellite. Both devices are up-to-date with no error messages. My network adapter is the one provided with my Asus motherboard: Realtek 8822BE WLAN 802.11 AC PCI-E NIC. Anyone have suggestions? This is ruining online gaming. Thanks in advance.

Verify the network wires? I recall a similar setup from before, only to discover my Cat5e connection was failing.

Are you experiencing this problem only on this device, or is it also affecting other machines connected to the same network?

Have you attempted using the 'pathping' command? It provides detailed insights, showing precisely where packets fail at each router hop.
