Hello. I'm facing a significant issue. To give you some context, I'm an avid gamer. I enjoy playing a particular game and it has shaped who I am now. Sadly, the community around this game has some malicious members. In short, I'll keep things simple. They can't trace my real IP address while playing. Of course, I've used VPNs. The problem remains though—these VPNs often freeze up, and they still manage to see my IP. I suspect the VPN shuts down briefly when accessing their forums, only to be detected again by their system. I've tried two different VPN services, but after several months, they start to lag and reveal my IP address. I don't want them to do that again. I've looked into proxy servers as a potential solution, but I haven't set one up before. I'm curious if that could work. Or is there another approach I should try? Since I have plenty of money, I can invest in equipment if needed. Solutions I've tried so far haven't solved the problem. Using my cellular hotspot isn't ideal—it's too slow and assigns a random IP. I need a consistent IP to hide mine. From what I know, cellular hotspots don't provide that stability. I'm trying to change my IP on my modem through Comcast, but they won't let me unless I contact their support directly. Changing it via the modem doesn't help either. My landlord's modem is involved, and I doubt he'd allow me to reach out to Comcast to alter my IP. A cloud PC sounds possible—controlling a remote PC that routes traffic through a VPN? Or setting up a virtual machine on my own PC and configuring it to always use a VPN?

It looks like you're considering using NordVPN and questioning the value of paid services.

I've been using nord, but it didn't work. It was the first to 'hiccup' and my IP was detected. I also tried iTopVPN with the paid version. I'm looking for an alternative that isn't a VPN, as per my original request.

This doesn’t seem correct and feels like it’s trying to sidestep something. Besides the IP address, cookies are key here. If you leave cookies active, using a VPN won’t conceal your fingerprint or profile details. Also, NordVPN doesn’t automatically disable itself.

Use Superantispyware free version to clear all cookies, remove browsing cookies too.

If the challenge involves a DDOS attack, a cloud gaming platform like Nvidia GeForce Now can help resolve it. But seriously, what’s the point if you can’t even access a discussion about this game? I’d wipe your cookies, switch IPs, abandon the game, and move away from the community forever.

It's not related to cookies; I've eliminated them at various stages of my usage and the problem remains. I'm seeking a method to direct all my traffic through an alternative solution, as originally intended. Thank you. I was considering a cloud gaming platform that offers more than just games—something that provides a full operating system for rent via the cloud. From what I know, GeForce Now is mainly for streaming games, not a customizable OS with browser extensions or mods. The challenge here is that the platform in question is a text-based RP forum embedded within an outdated source mod, not a game like Doom Eternal that can be streamed directly through such services.

I won’t give up on this challenge. As mentioned before, my ISP can’t alter my IP address. A proxy server might help, but I’m unsure which service works best or how to configure it. If you have any recommendations, feel free to share.

Identify the title of the game and share more context so others can offer better guidance. If you're facing restrictions on playing, note that these forums won't help with that issue. Avoiding the game entirely may be the safest choice if you're worried about safety or potential online threats. Remember, continuing might not be worth the risk—consider stepping away if it feels unsafe.

You've already provided the necessary information. If you prefer not to pursue a technical fix, simply refrain from arguing or provoking. Thank you.
