I assembled the PC roughly ten days ago. It started up perfectly and ran benchmarks as expected without any overclocking. I’ve played Starfield daily since then with no problems. I heard a bubbling sound from my AIO radiator, so I moved it higher than usual. While doing that, I reorganized cables and unplugged several connectors—USB fans, front audio, and GPU power. After reassembly, GeForce Experience reported a driver update. I installed it and ran Starfield again. The fan noise disappeared, but FPS stayed around 70-80, which was lower than before (150-200 FPS). Frame rates were still shaky, CPU temps hovered 60-70°C under load, GPU around 40-50°C.
I tried rolling back the Nvidia driver with DDU, but it didn’t work. I double-checked all connections and even disassembled the PC completely, but nothing changed. Time Spy on 3DMark showed a slight improvement in scores after build, mainly due to cooler temps. CPU and GPU temperatures were still normal. Starfield performance remained poor.
I also reinstalled the game without other titles for comparison, but I lack reference benchmarks. HWinfo logs exist, though I’m unsure how to interpret them. XMP is enabled, and the Display Port cable is connected to the GPU. Everything seems fine so far—still no clear fix.
