Not necessarily important, but on the early X99 platform, values over 3000 in XMP settings automatically set a bclk of 125. I don’t own a 170 chipset, so...
Interesting. I’ll check to see if anything changes quietly when adjusting memory speed. The bclk remains the same, but perhaps something else is affected.

The only alternative I could propose is using Memtest 64 for at least 300% coverage, along with an hour or two of Realbench stability testing to verify everything is functioning properly and no errors are occurring.
