Hey, I hope someone can assist. Most games, like Fortnite, Hogwarts Legacy, MW, WZ 2.0, etc., perform well even at the lowest graphics settings, but I notice big lag spikes. I’ve checked temperatures, CPU, and GPU—never exceed 50-60°C during gameplay, and all cores stay cool. My motherboard and RAM also seem fine, though I suspect the issue might be with the hard drive. It’s an old SSD, but I’m not sure before committing to upgrade to an SSD since I don’t have much money. I’ve attached my PC specs for reference. Thanks, Dave.

It's likely the hard drive issue, mainly because it's an old drive, but it could also relate to the CPU performance. Check your CPU usage during gameplay using tools like Rivatuner.

In Hogwarts Legacy, you could encounter VRAM problems since recent titles require significant memory resources even when set to lower levels.

The legacy isn't very strong; just assume it's enough to function at least on a higher resolution if possible. Maybe I'm mistaken—I might be too old tech for this.

the cpu is working well now. i keep it clean regularly, apply thermal paste, and ensure good cooling performance.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about small stutters in Fortnite, as they occur with many people

Your CPU performance isn’t demanding during the game. (If your GPU stays under 90%, it’s likely a CPU limitation, unless you’re hitting a capped frame rate.)

From what I observe, the CPU looks perfectly okay. After running several programs, the RAM performance has dropped noticeably. It’s around 667 MHz, which is pretty low. Upgrading it might be a good idea.

It seems you're looking for performance upgrades. Hogwarts Legacy and Fortnite could benefit from more RAM and faster CPUs. If you have funds available, I can suggest some options.
