Signal Processing Phenomenon Spikes in Periodic Systems
I've been experiencing sudden system slowdowns every few seconds. Even with minimal activity, the lag occurs periodically. Task manager doesn't react quickly enough, so I can only observe uniform spikes across all CPU cores. When idle, all cores spike at the same level. This happens regardless of my laptop's specs—i7 6700HQ and Ryzen 1800X—and it affects multiple apps and processes. Games freeze briefly, 3D software stalls, Photoshop becomes unresponsive after a few seconds, and even simple actions like using the brush tool cause freezes followed by undo. The screenshots show only these large spikes across all cores, not normal fluctuations. My internet speed is 150Mb/s, so it's not the connection issue. Recently, I discovered the problem: a system process jumps excessively and causes random freezes. I'm unsure what triggers this behavior or how to prevent it from consuming resources unpredictably.
