Signal loss on the video card occurs while playing games.
Hello everyone, occasionally when I play games it happens that my video card signal disappears completely. It seems like the GPU just stops functioning. Windows sometimes freezes, other times it appears to work fine, and the signal resumes after a restart. Your system details are: Microsoft Windows 11 Professional (x64) Build 22000.675, ASUS PRIME X299 EDITION 30 (BIOS 1301, latest), Intel Core i9-10980XE (not overclocked), 4x16GB G.Skill RAM (F4-3600C17-16GTZR), ASUS DUAL RTX 2080 Super EVO OC (non-overclocked, with a new cooler), latest Creative Soundblaster AE-9 soundcard, Samsung SSD 970 PRO 1TB (7x3TB), Toshiba HDD DT01ACA300, Corsair HX1200i (1200W 80+ platinum). The cooling system uses a custom EKWB loop inside a Lian-Li DK-04X desk. I connect the GPU via a DP cable to the monitor; I've also tried using another GPU port and changed the power cables, but nothing worked. Stability tests with Furmark and Prime95 showed no issues. CPU temperatures stayed around 55°C during Prime95, while the GPU reached 81°C in Furmark (it might have throttled but remained stable). I’ve had this problem for about two months, drivers and software are always updated. I checked the dump files, but sometimes they’re missing or corrupted. WhoCrashed reported a file: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP and another: C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\PoW32kWatchdog-20220509-2149.dmp. I’m stuck and need guidance on how to troubleshoot further. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Best, Samnis
The 81c in a custom loop on a 2080 seems unusual. There might be an issue from the beginning.
