It would be best to verify all cables once more and ensure each is securely connected. Confirm the power supply unit is powered and positioned correctly at the back. If everything appears fine, replace the PSU and test it with another available unit if possible.

I’ll change the power source and see what happens. I’m worried the motherboard might be damaged... how could this be?

It all began with inserting a PCI card measuring 4x4 cm. I didn’t do anything else. I’m really confused.

This might mean the device isn't powered on. I once found out my PC wouldn't start because I missed connecting the power supply.

I didn't interact with anything at the initial connection point of the network card, but once I touched everything else it changed.
