You're looking for ways to enable horizontal spanning on Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate with a GeForce 9600 GTX and two 1280x1024 screens. Since this feature isn't built-in, consider using third-party software like Horizon or a custom solution to achieve the effect. These tools can help simulate horizontal spanning across multiple monitors.

Sure, I’ll keep it simple. Fusion offers many choices for setting up multiple monitors.

In Windows XP, the NView software by NVIDIA offered a feature to merge two 1280x1024 displays into a single 2560x1024 screen, known as horizontal spanning.

That’s essentially just using NVIDIA Surround now. I’d set it up on my system and demonstrate, but I have to turn off several things first just to show you how it works. Lol!

The NVIDIA surround isn't compatible with older hardware. The GPU model is 9600 GT, which is considered legacy.

I received nothing, so my first proper setup had a 250gts console and the Nvidia control panel and surround...but I didn’t have the budget for multiple monitors.
