I believe you can reach an even lower setting. A friend's 9700k achieves 5GHZ overclock at 1.325 volts, so if you don’t have it overclocked yet, just attempt to drop further until it becomes unstable. Cinebench R23 is a solid starting point, but for absolute certainty, try Prime95.

Completed additional testing after disabling mce in the BIOS. -0.095 still triggered blue screen, but -0.090 appears stable. Haven't run prime95 for long, though all stress tests passed—four runs at five minutes each. Timespy CPU test works without issues. No significant temperature drops noticed at -0.090 versus -0.065, and stress tests stayed under 70, which is safe. Might see bigger effects during regular gaming instead of constant stress testing.
No way... -0.090 triggered the BSOD with Timespy Extreme. Ugh... back to starting over.

i recommend using fixed voltage for undervolting, since big negative offsets can sometimes cause idle bsods. Look at what the actual vcore under load is, use that as a fixed voltage with a low LLC to transition over. -.08v is around where i'd expect things to be unstable on idle Here's the voltage table for my below-average 9900k, stock is 1.3v 4.7ghz and if i used a negative offset of -.1v system wouldn't even turn on. 4.4ghz 1.05v 4.7 1.18v 5.1 1.36v 5.2 1.395v I use 4.4 when i play 2d games so the cpu doesn't spike to 100w, 5.1 is useful for stuff like hitman/2077, and work
Testing without mce and speedstep, syncing all cores to 46 MHz. Vcore at 1.15 caused a crash; it worked after moving to 1.18. The question remains: should you adjust only the Vcore voltage in BIOS or all related settings? Which options should be changed, and should they all be set to 1.18?
