Check your event viewer for any windows shutting down issues. Press Windows key + X, choose Event Viewer or type "Event Viewer" in the search bar at the bottom left and select the app from the menu. Navigate to Windows logs, expand it, then click on System to view errors or critical events. Click on an error or critical event to see more details. You can also install an app such as this link: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/, launch it, and test whether your CPU is overheating. Have you recently downloaded any new software, especially updates for Windows or device drivers, and experienced problems soon after?

I tested a 2080 Ti (11GB RAM) with 16GB total memory over an extended period, never experienced overheating. It seems unrelated to your issue. If the OS runs out of dedicated RAM, it will rely on the page file for less frequently accessed data.
RAM isn't the sole way to store memory, yet a system lacking enough RAM often shuts down unexpectedly. An overheating issue is definitely possible. Consider clearing the RAM cache using Command Prompt—search for "cmd," run it as admin, and type ipconfig /flushdns. This old method may help with browsing speed but isn't guaranteed to resolve memory problems. Keep an eye on which applications use RAM and close unnecessary programs.
