Shut down with updated GPU
Shut down with updated GPU
Hello, I recently began playing again after a while and rebuilt two old PCs into one. To do that, I purchased a used GTX 1080. After installing the card and starting the system, everything appears to be functioning correctly. I updated the drivers and opened a game like Elder Scrolls Online. The launcher prompts to press play, but the screen goes black immediately afterward and remains so. I powered off the PC, tried restarting it, but it still doesn<|pad|> to detect the GPU. I removed the GPU, checked the motherboard HDMI port, and even reset the BIOS. After reconnecting the HDMI cable and installing the GPU, the issue persisted—screen wasn’t recognized. I changed the power supply, reinstalled Windows, and booted without the GPU, which worked fine. I then tried connecting an older AMD 270x GPU, which booted and allowed access to the desktop. Despite all attempts, the card still didn’t connect properly. The list of components in my PC includes: MSI H170M PRO-VHM, Intel i5 6400, Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR4 2666, Corsair CX600M, and Sandisk SSD 480GB. I’m unsure what’s causing this problem and would appreciate any guidance. Thanks, Rabbitozor.
Hi, thank you for your answer, the problem now is that I can't even launch the PC with the GPU in it, if I put the GPU in and plug the HDMI to the GPU the screen gets no signal, if I have the GPU in and the HDMI to the Motherboard, I have no screen signal as well. I only have screen signal if the GPU if not connected and the HDMI is on the motherboard.
