Shut down the PC without any cause.
Hi everyone, I hope you can assist me with this. Here are the details of my system: 3900x, no graphics card, 32GB RAM, one NVMe 512GB, another NVMe 1TB, a 2TB HDD, 2080 Ti speed, 750W power supply, Seasonic X570f BIOS (latest). The problem is my PC shuts down unexpectedly during gameplay without any warning. I’ve watched a tutorial on Linus TV and YouTube about fixing this issue, but it didn’t resolve it. I’ve checked Windows Event Viewer and found a kernel power event 41. The system restarted after a crash or shutdown, which suggests a power or stability issue. I’ve tried turning off the CPU in BIOS, but it didn’t help. I’m considering replacing the CPU as a potential solution. Apologies for any grammatical errors. I’ve completed all stress tests on the CPU and GPU, and everything is functioning normally now. Thanks, Radu.
For unexpected power loss, consider PSU, Board, or RAM issues. Start with the PSU, then test for faulty RAM, and finally inspect the board.
Best would be to have someone else available, maybe a friend, or if you're close to a microcenter they might be able to assist.
I'm from England. This problem isn't happening every 20 or 30 minutes; it can only happen today and again in about four days. It's not consistent.
It seems the system is quite unpredictable. Consistent power cuts often indicate a faulty power supply, while erratic shutdowns usually point to RAM issues.
I previously had ram x2 8 gb 3200 but faced this problem with the turnig off pc. Now I’ve switched to ram x2 16gb 3600. Still wondering if adding more RAM is worth it?
For the 7900XT, Corsair RM1000X is a solid choice. It offers good performance and reliability.
The system is operating correctly. Please confirm the type of RAM you are using.
