Shut down randomly and display a red CPU debug light.
I recently brought my CPU, GPU, and RAM into a nearby shop. Everything seems to be working properly, so I’m planning to leave the motherboard and power cable from the PSU. Just have to wait while they replace those parts.
The PSU cable was the issue! I couldn’t find another PSU for a week or so, but a friend tried his own cable. It seems something unexpected damaged it or caused it to stop working—maybe an old system just needed a fix. Once I get a new PSU and case, I plan to install an AIO or water-cooled setup for the CPU as well, following the advice given. Thanks to everyone for the help and troubleshooting tips—it really helped!
Be mindful that AIOs typically last around 4 to 5 years. A solid air cooler can last just as long as the fans remain functional, because the heatsink itself doesn’t wear out. If any fan fails, simply swap it out and you’re good to go again. There are quality options available without breaking the bank, though some models come with a higher price tag, just like most products. Scythe offers decent coolers at reasonable prices, Noctua has a few well-liked choices, and IceGiant provides something close to watercooling performance (though it’s more expensive). The cost is generally high for the IceGiant model, so unless you have a tight budget, consider a better AIO instead. However, a solid AIO still delivers strong cooling, with the same considerations I mentioned earlier.
It was the same model, but my friend had mentioned it beforehand. I wanted to double-check since I’m planning to purchase a mostly new system soon—thanks for the advice! I’ll review those coolers and compare options carefully.
