A single Windows purchase can power your system and the following three systems (one at a time) for ten years.
I believe I've never spent more than around five dollars on a Windows key, and I don't plan to alter that.
Just a cautionary remark... any mention of piracy is strictly prohibited.
When you have almost unlimited funds or your workplace covers the software costs, why not take advantage of it, right?
In other cases, this question remains uncertain.
I have bought two of each affordable OEM Windows licenses throughout the years...and I have registered both correctly via my MS account according to Microsoft guidelines. Both remain active and operational today, including all updates and improvements.
