Should you improve your graphics card with a GTX 1660 or your central processing unit with an i5-9400f for video games?
I’m planning a fresh gaming computer for titles such as DOTA 2, The Witcher 3, and Rainbow Six Siege, and I require guidance on whether to improve my graphics card with a GTX 1660 or my processor with an i5-9400f.
Current PC Specifications:
i3–9100f processor
amd RX 570 graphics card
H310 motherboard
8gb ddr4 ram at 2666mhz speed
corsair vs450 power supply
This presents a significant challenge... Upgrading the graphics card would yield the most immediate improvement, although extending the budget by approximately £50 to £60 to enhance the 1660Ti would be even more beneficial, as it provides a substantial increase in processing power. Furthermore, consider investigating the prices of RX 590s, as they have experienced considerable price reductions and perform similarly to the 1660. Lastly, an additional 8GB of memory would be advantageous, particularly if you’re not utilizing dual-channel RAM currently.
