basically I got a 6700K and adjusted the voltage in bios to 1.35 manual/static. The actual reported voltage is 1.344 min with a max of 1.360 and an average of 1.355.
I ran AIDA64 for more than 12 hours with CPU, FPU, cache, and memory all active and it worked well.
My fan is a Hyper D92Evo. The "CPU Core Max" max temperature recorded on Hwinfo was 81, and the "package" max was 85.
Should I consider water cooling? It might help reach 5.0Ghz+?
I saw in the Skylake overclocking guide (http://www.overclock.net/t/1570313/skyla...statistics) that few people have reached 4.8 or higher with a low Vcore like mine.
I excluded results with voltages above mine. There were about 40 more if I let the vcores run freely. Also, I don’t see any past 5Ghz results—my rig info is in my sig and detailed in bio.
I have only two case fans (120mm intake) and a 120mm rear exhaust.

hell yeah watercool it, if you can afford to, it costs about £500 for a loop, CPU and GPU, but you can get it way more expensive if you try
😉
