You're considering switching from an RTX 2060 Super to an RTX 4070 Ti while keeping your Ryzen 5 3700X. It depends on your workload—general tasks won't be affected, but heavy gaming or rendering might still feel limited without a faster CPU.

Hello, The RTX could slow down by around 50% in performance. That’s a significant bottleneck you’ll likely see in games.

It would slow things down significantly. I switched to an RTX 4080 and tried a [email protected] all-core overclock, but it fell short. Frequent microstutters kept appearing and the frame rate stayed low. Once I upgraded to a 7700x, my average FPS jumped by about 30-35% (in Hell Let Loose it rose from 110 to over 200 fps) and the stuttering disappeared completely.

Seems like you're just starting with an AMD 5800X3D.

Your processor might greatly slow down your graphics card at 1080p, work better at 1440p but struggle at 4k. It also depends a lot on the game, and even in Jedi Survivor, the CPU can become the limiting factor on a 13900k!

I expect a resolution of 5800x3d. For the GPU, I strongly recommend getting a 7900xt or even an XTX if they aren’t too costly locally, since they offer significantly better performance at a lower price.

The Jedi survivor was meant to avoid this, just as all other games should not.

There’s a significant slowdown with that combination, unfortunately. I suggest the AMD 5800x3d from AMD. You won’t need to upgrade your motherboard if you choose this option. However, I don’t advise going for a 7000-series AMD CPU or any Intel CPU, as those might require many modifications. Even with a 7000-series AMD CPU or an Intel CPU, you’d still need to replace at least some components.

The 7000 series offers better performance, while the 5000 series provides more value for money. Consider your budget and needs when deciding.

You mentioned earlier that this should assist. Here’s the revised version:

What I just said seems to align with what you need. Let me know if you’d like further clarification!
