Consider upgrading your CPU for better gaming performance. Your current setup includes a 2070 GPU, Ryzen 5 3600, 8GB RAM, G.skill 2x8 3600MHz motherboard, and an Asus ROG Strix B550.

It varies based on the video resolution you're using. At 1440p it won't help, but at 1080p there might be a small performance boost in some games. Still, it doesn't seem worth the effort.

I'm feeling a bit in the same situation as you. I saw 3600 limiting performance in some titles, even after boosting it to 4125mhz across all six cores. Still, your upgrade route depends on the cooler you installed with that CPU. The Wraith Stealth model paired with 3600 won't handle high-end chips like the 5800X or 5800X3D well, so a 5700X might be a better choice.

You're using the Corsair ICE H150 Elite CPU cooler. Since you play Apex and others mention your CPU might be the issue, consider upgrading if it could improve performance.

Yeah then you are good on the cooling side. It is up to you, 5800X3D is the best gaming CPU you can have on the AM4 platform. I too am going to upgrade to it and end my upgrades on the AM4 platform. You cannot go wrong 5800X3D, 5800X or 5700X. If your budget allows, get 5800X3D, if not chose what you can afford from those three.
