Hello everyone, I own a Dell XPS 13 9360 from 2017 that was having issues and its battery was dead. It has been repaired and I plan to give this laptop to my brother who is getting ready for university exams. In a few weeks, I intend to buy myself a new one. I really like the Dell brand, but my budget is tight and I can't afford another XPS. Second-hand options don’t interest me either. I’m stuck between Vostro and Latitude. Are Vostro laptops actually problematic? I usually do homework, watch movies, and play Sims4 and Civilization VI. Can I run these on a Dell Vostro 3420 with 14-inch, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and i5-1235u running Windows? Or should I go for Latitude? Its hardware is Dell Latitude 3440 i-5 1335u with 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and FreeDOS.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Based on your input, I would search for a laptop equipped with a dedicated GPU. In 2024, it's recommended to have a minimum of 16GB of RAM installed. Could you share links to both the Dell Vostro and the Latitude models? Also, let me know your location, budget, and preferred purchasing site.

these are the specific links you provided;
vostro: https://www.trendyol.com/dell/vostr...9-...tId=106664
latitude: https://www.trendyol.com/pd/dell/la...r-...tId=106664
i am in Turkey, where the economy is challenging. My budget is limited to 26,000 Turkish lira. You suggest using an external graphics card, but I can't afford it due to high prices. I'm torn between these two laptops and need assistance. The sites I'm thinking of buying are
www.hepsiburada.com
and
www.trendyol.com

From those listed, the Vostro appears to be superior due to its greater RAM capacity. Another unusual observation is that Latitude (as shown on the site) mentions the OS is "FreeDOS," which seems like a typo or indicates a personal installation scenario.
