You're just starting out with overclocking and wondering if your R7 250 2GB will handle it.

It's not very strong. The cooling is poor and overclocking won't significantly improve performance.

I suggest you refrain from purchasing it. Overclocking doesn't yield the expected performance.

The card is quite straightforward to overclock. I used the 1GB version, pushing it up to about 5% of its limit. The overclock textures performed decently, though there wasn’t much to gain overall. For cooling, I added a few copper shims to the RAM because there was no room for heat sinks, and I swapped out the thermal interface material to mx-2. You should be able to improve it further without too much concern. I only increased power by 1%.
