Should I overclock my RAM
Should I overclock my RAM
You can try boosting your memory frequency further. I've already increased it to 3466MHz at 1.375V, and anything below 1.450V is within a safe range for DRAM voltage.
It could work, though I’m skeptical about a basic Ryzen memory controller handling it. A 3200Mhz CL14 is already quite strong. It might be worth testing.
I believe if you're already running at 3200 mhz CL14 on a R7 1800X, you won't see much improvement by overclocking further. My 3200Mhz CL16 RAM doesn't stabilize at 3200 Mhz CL16 unless I change the timings to CL22. Based on my extensive testing, I found that 2933Mhz CL14 gives better performance than 3200Mhz CL22. If you can manage to overclock to 3400 or 3600 mhz while keeping the timings precise, you might see some gains, though it's a challenging task on Ryzen 1st generation chips.
