I aim to keep my CPU and MOBO (ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970) functioning well for at least five years. I’ve heard from others that overclocking can also impact your motherboard. Will the lifespan of your motherboard be more affected than that of your CPU? What speed should I consider for overclocking without causing too much strain on the system?

I also own a 500 W 80+ WHITE PSU from EVGA and an Asus 960 Strix.
