You're weighing the pros and cons of VR. It's a good question—considering whether the experience justifies the price and if it fits your comfort level, especially with glasses on.

I haven’t found any games worth the investment enough to justify spending that much. I wear glasses and contacts, so using a device without them would be more comfortable. I’ve tried one with my glasses and experienced a lot of light bleeding from the bottom of the headset because it was too far away. I didn’t have time to adjust the settings to fit better. It’s fun, but for me it means A) I don’t have enough space to use it properly right now, and B) most games I’ve seen don’t really match the price for my needs. I’m also not afraid to buy something new when I see it, which tells me a bit about my preferences.

Absolutely, making spontaneous purchases is one of my weaknesses. It's tough to let go.

I would hold off until the Vive 2 arrived.

The Vive Pro isn't the Vive 2; it's a different model. If it's not, I'd expect the Pro version to be pricier than what you're considering.

I don't agree with that view. The Vive Pro seems designed to extract value from customers who are already invested in the system, which is why it lacks controllers or base stations.

Having an Oculus for a while now, I initially used it a lot before taking a break. You really need to invest time in games or matches. I’m hooked on Onward VR and trying to stay competitive with it. For me, the Rift controllers are great, while Vive’s feel a bit off and don’t capture the experience well. I have glasses and contacts, which work for me. It’s hard to say if it’s worth the investment—it depends on how much you enjoy it.
