Your Dell Inspiron 3583 has only 4GB of RAM, which may limit performance even with upgrades. The 1TB SSD should help, but the freezing and low RAM usage suggest you might need more memory to run Windows 11 smoothly. Adding another 4GB stick would bring it closer to the recommended amount, while an 8GB unit would give you a larger total storage and better stability. Consider the balance between cost and performance for your needs.

Typically, more RAM is preferable. However, in your situation I’d recommend choosing an SSD since the older HDD would no longer hold up the entire system.

Occasionally with many open tabs (like Edge), certain games such as Valorant run smoothly using Unity and Visual Studio, usually pausing only a short time—about 1 to 2 minutes.

You're questioning whether the problem lies with the RAM. It seems the memory isn't being used fully, and your dual-core processor struggles with multitasking compared to a higher-core CPU. The Event Viewer might display an error during freezes, possibly due to disk issues affecting system stability. That's also plausible depending on the HDD type and age—your RAM is only about three-quarters full. Have you verified that your CPU isn't excessively busy when it crashes?

You're unsure if the CPU is the issue. The system reports low usage with high memory and occasional disk drops, suggesting RAM or storage might be the problem. Consider adding more memory and upgrading to an SSD.

Yes, it seems like your computer becomes unresponsive when not in use.

Currently, it's not completely freezing—just a slight delay and possibly a brief freeze lasting 1-2 seconds.
