I am evaluating the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb-kit (2x8gb) DR3 3200MHz model. My current motherboard supports up to 2667MHz, but can it be overclocked to use all 3200MHz? Is this process straightforward or would I need to adjust voltages and other settings extensively? Apologies for the unclear English.

The board meets the requirements, handling up to 3200mhz which ensures the new memory functions properly. Minimal adjustments are needed—primarily placing the memory in slots A2/B2 (2nd/4th) and activating DOCP via the motherboard BIOS under the performance settings. Upgrading from 2400 8gb to 3200 16gb can significantly enhance gaming performance or at least reduce FPS drops.

I purchased the RAM and installed it, but it didn't start. I checked the other options to see if enabling DOCP was necessary before switching, but now the PC won't boot after reinstalling the older ones. Do you or anyone else know what went wrong? Also, my BIOS update is quite recent, not long ago after installing the 3600.

Maybe you unintentionally touched a wire and dislodged it? Check the connections thoroughly and verify that all components are securely attached. It might be necessary to reinitialize the CMOS.
