Shorter play times achieved through deblocking Windows 10
I've discovered ways to enhance gaming speed by clearing unused apps and features in Windows 10. There are additional steps you can take to boost performance beyond that.
that's essentially the only option from a win standpoint. reducing background processes frees up resources for your game, such as chat apps and streaming services. what bothers is that even after uninstalling unnecessary programs and stopping unused services, the next update often restores everything to its previous state. not all items are reinstalled, but a significant amount of bloat remains. keep track of what you removed so you can reapply changes once everything returns to its default settings.
Identified features disabled or removed include specific functionalities. Previous FPS performance was achieved with a certain setup, while the updated configuration offers improved frame rates. The complete hardware stack comprises detailed specifications for each component.
I utilized a GUI named Windows10Debloater, which requires running via PowerShell. Through the Debloater interface, I was able to eliminate all unnecessary applications, stop Edge from controlling PDF files, remove OneDrive access, and clear numerous bloatware registration keys. Following these steps, my laptop's startup time decreased from 2 minutes and 30 seconds to just 1 minute. The performance improved significantly, with games running much smoother and achieving about 5 to 10 frames per second faster than the bloated Windows version.
OK, that "Debloater' thing, maybe.
But far far too many people delve way too far into disabling things. Often this ends up in a system that does not run at all.
Be careful how you proceed.
But, your hardware is kinda meh.
On a better more recent system, that Debloater would do little or nothing.
Debloating Windows only truly works when your system is near the bottom of performance levels. Even then, I’m skeptical about these comparisons since they seem to lack a solid scientific basis beyond "I tried it and now my speed is up." Many of these adjustments might not have improved performance at all, yet they’re grouped together because the author chose to overlook that.
