Using this tool gives you access to your Windows key, but only if you have the key itself. Since your PC came without a sticker and is a Dell used model, you’ll need to locate the original key or ensure it’s still present for the tool to work properly.

If you're making such significant changes, reinstalling the operating system might be necessary. Connect the old key to a Microsoft account by logging in, though for an OEM system it's unlikely the new setup will work. Consider using an SSD to install the OS, as running Windows on an HDD is very slow.

The Windows 8 and 10 product keys are kept on the UEFI chip. Even so, these licenses are tied to the system's motherboard and cannot be moved.

ProduKey is a handy tool that shows the ProductID and CD-Key for Microsoft Office versions (2003, 2007) and Windows (including 8/7/Vista). What operating system do you use? Is the activation key genuine? Regardless, even if you locate the key, you’ll likely need to reactivate it via phone. It’s best to keep the original and a newer version of Windows 10, as older ones often caused issues. The exact solution depends on how you obtained the key and its current status!

I just verified my PC and discovered the correct key, though it differs from the one I retrieved from my original system. I have Windows 10 Pro.
