I can't directly access BIOS settings. However, you can reset the CMOS by turning off your computer and then turning it back on.

The device activated instantly, lasting only a brief moment. A sudden burst of illumination. Updated January 19, 2024 by UhreForFan

Turn off your computer and hold the power button for ten seconds to remove any leftover energy. After that, take out the CMOS battery and put it back in. This acts like a factory reset for your BIOS. If this doesn’t work, I’ll share a YouTube tutorial so you can see the steps clearly. It’s a simple process, but it can make a big difference.

Your complete system details are ready. The device was functioning before the SSD installation. You disconnected it from the power source and completed a full power reset to remove any remaining energy.

Just confirming everything is correct, just making sure the wording matches what you expect. No worries, I’m here to double-check your steps.

Sure, I just believe the CMOS battery diagnostics might have been messed up, so we should move on.

Right, very possible. But if not, these are things we'll want to know and be sure of for future troubleshooting steps.

Sorry for the mix-up. I made a typo with my phone settings earlier. After formatting, I forgot to turn off my computer. Looking back, a quick restart would have been better to check if the formatting caused issues. In short: I formatted the drive, left it on, went to sleep and worked, came home used it for an hour, turned it off, showered, then unplugged the HDD, plugged in an SSD, tried to start but it didn’t work. Since my PC isn’t running now, I’m sorry for that error—this isn’t something I usually do.

This looks like a solid beginning. I'll give it another shot tomorrow—it's still late. Appreciate all your feedback and support. Typically I can adjust and resolve issues in software, but now the PC won't even launch, making it tougher. Just a few months ago I faced the same problem with a 300GB HDD and a 1TB SSD, which was unexpected.
