Hey everyone, I'm experiencing repeated short beeps and no screen display. My CPU is an i5 2400, paired with a Mobo Gigabyte H61M-S revision 1.1, with 6 GB RAM (4 GB Kingston, 2 GB Samsung at 1333MHz). The power supply is Corsair vs450. On the Gigabyte site it mentions an AMI UEFI BIOS, but I haven't checked the beep codes for any BIOS information. The pattern I'm seeing is exactly 126 short beeps followed by 3 long beeps, then silence. I've tried a few things: swapping RAM, using only one slot, cleaning the RAM with an eraser, and even removing the processor to check if the cooler fan works. I can't make any big changes without parts or help since I don’t have spares. I could take it to a nearby shop for testing. Could anyone help identify what’s wrong—could it be a faulty power supply, RAM issue, or something else? Thanks a lot! Please wait while I monitor this.

The sounds resemble a contemporary postal code, which suggests they follow a structured pattern. Checking online definitions might clarify their meaning.

I checked the AMI BIOS beep codes but only received these descriptions:
1. Short DRAM refresh failure
2. Short Parity circuit failure
3. Short Base 64 K RAM failure
4. Short System timer failure
5. Short Process failure
6. Short Keyboard controller Gate A20 error
7. Short Virtual mode exception error
8. Short Display memory Read/Write test failure
9. Short ROM BIOS checksum failure
10. Short CMOS shutdown Read/Write error
11. Short Cache Memory error
12. Long Conventional/Extended memory failure
13. Short Display/Retrace test failed with two-tone siren
14. Low CPU Fan speed
15. Voltage Level issue (no matching beep code)

So there’s no code linking to the beeps I’m hearing. I’m stuck.

Start the system without a graphics card, hard drive, or solid-state drive, and disconnect every USB port

They sound like a repeating alarm, with two distinct tones alternating.

Two distinct sounds: reduced CPU fan operation and voltage level problems.
