I just purchased a 5800X, that's awesome! I'm using the Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite, it's a solid board and I'm really satisfied. No issues so far. However, I'm planning to upgrade my 3600 system for sale, so I'm thinking about swapping it out. I'm searching for a good replacement with lots of USB ports (six plus USB-A, plus one or more USB-C 3.2), multiple M.2 slots, an SPDIF port, and a built-in IO shield. For those still using PS/2, are you alright? Do you need some support?
I’d opt for a B550 Pro A for the 3600 setup—it’s the most cost-effective choice and keeps things simple.
Basically nothing changed much. It's still the same as before, just with those regular boards that appeared recently, like the b550 pro a, which is a mid-range model around $5950 that supports a 5950x if you need it.
Keep the board you have, you won't do as well with any B550 board. Yes, chips like your 3600 will sell with ease and there is demand for them. Sell it, keep it as a backup (Just in case) or whatever and run the 5800X chip.
