I initially assumed Steam would work on my SSD, so I transferred it to my HDD. Now that I have a new HDD, it reminded me of my error and I want to fix it. How can I transfer the Steam app to my SSD while keeping all my games intact? Also, I’ve heard from Linus that HDDs slow down when full. Since I just filled my HDD with Steam games and ordered another, should I spread them out for better speed? Is there a way to do this without re-downloading everything?
Remove Steam and reinstall it in your preferred location. It won’t erase the games. Just follow the instructions carefully.
