Hi. I'm looking for a shared system where both of us can log in and upload files. The structure should stay intact and fit on the desktop. So far, I've tried OneDrive for Business—it's not great. User control is tricky, and it didn't work well enough. I use it just for personal needs. I prefer something reliable, maybe a communal drive with better performance. Browser problems slow uploads, and setup feels complicated. DropBox for Business costs $85/month for two users, which isn't fair. I wasn't even offered a free trial at that price. Someone should know a better solution before I set up my own or use an FTP server. Thanks.

Thanks for the ideas. I just finished paying $850 for DropBox since it functions properly now. No more hassle!

Please set up your own server and run OwnCloud there. Avoid Dropbox Business. Or simply use Dropbox under one account! That would save a lot of money.

This software looks really good and could be a solid choice if I need a customizable platform. Right now I’m too busy to set it up, and my internet isn’t reliable—my connection is limited to about 20 hours a day, while my friend’s satellite link is only stable sometimes. I own my own server, but it’s already occupied by other services and I don’t want to pay extra to add another one, whether through OwnCloud or building my own interface. A single Dropbox account isn’t enough because I need multiple users. Dropbox works well and offers all the features without being complicated, plus its mobile version is nice. It’s too expensive for what I require, but I wouldn’t waste time during a busy time trying to get it running. Instead of spending hours, I’d rather have paid travel to Hawaii or another place. I chose to go ahead with DropBox, and the project I’m developing there should pay for itself by the end of the year I have the account.

I'm excited about using it once I have the opportunity.
