I just put GTA V onto a drive at a server in my house and connected it to my gaming laptop so I can access the files without downloading them there. When I try to start the game, I encounter an error: 23:06:05: Starting BattlEye Service... 23:06:07: Updating... 23:06:09: Launching game... 23:06:19: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause issues with the game. 23:06:19: [INFO] Blocked loading of file with unsupported UNC network path: "\\[server]\[server folder for games]\Epic\GTAV\GTA5.exe". 23:06:19: Failed to launch game. Any assistance would be appreciated. Just a side note, I've run smaller titles like Brawlhalla through this setup without problems.

It seems games relying on BattlEye aren't officially allowed on UNC network file shares. A workaround might exist in the Steam Community forum thread, though it's up to you.

Playing a game over a network share is usually not a good idea due to high access delays.
