Shadowplay in 480p resolution, not 1080p
Shadowplay in 480p resolution, not 1080p
Hey everyone, I'm experiencing quality issues with Shadowplay in Minecraft. When I turn it off and on during gameplay, the visuals seem lower even though the resolution appears normal. I've recorded both scenarios—without and with Shadowplay enabled—and compared them. It looks like the toggling affects how the file is compressed or processed. I'm also noticing that uploading to YouTube results in a 480p stream, while the game runs at higher resolutions. I'm unsure if this is related to the game's native settings or how YouTube handles the overlay. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I encountered the same problem again. It only impacts Minecraft. Shadowplay displays at 854x480 instead of the usual 1920x1080. I’m unsure if turning it on or off will help. I have the newest Minecraft version along with the latest Nvidia and Java drivers. Few people seem to report this issue online.
This occurs in Forza Horizon 5 too. It happens since the game starts with a very low resolution, which forces Shadowplay to use that setting. If you've enabled "capture in-game resolution," it works fine. Switching Shadowplay on and off then adjusts to the correct resolution because the game is now running at 1080p or your chosen setting.
