Hey everyone, my system uses a Ryzen 5 7600X with a Shadow Rock 3 cooler on an MSI X670 Pro (think I am). After relocating, I set everything up and the machine would shut down right away when I put any stress on it. I checked the BIOS and found temperatures around 70°C even when idle. I took apart the cooler, thinking loose screws or mounting pressure might be the issue. After tightening a bit more, the idle temps settled near 60°C. I cleaned out all the old thermal paste and noticed a noticeable dent near the CPU area on the left top corner. I didn’t snap photos but thought it might help. Today I reapplied the paste, which is now sitting in the low 40s at idle and high 80s during heavy loads like the Cinnebench 2024 with a 5.4GHz overclock. I’m curious if anyone has a similar build and setup to compare temps—would be great to know before making a decision about a new cooler. Thanks ahead!
