In fact, the FPS drop occurred because I had an old driver installed, and after following advice from a Reddit guide I watched, I simply updated it.

Verify BF1's CPU usage to ensure it's dedicated to the process, not competing with others. Use tools like Process Hacker or Process Explorer to inspect resource allocation. For DX12, check its own process ID and memory usage to confirm it's running independently.

I struggled with my Sandy Bridge i5 in Battlefront, but didn’t dig into the details. I believe i5 chips now lack sufficient threads because many games require 6 or more, and adding background tasks makes the four cores insufficient. The exception is the new CoffeeLake 6-core i5s, which still offered a decent price despite only providing six threads.

I will proceed. DX12 is turned off, which helps boost the FPS.

I’m going to tear up next time I upgrade my PC and definitely get the K series from Intel.

A locked i7 offers more threads compared to a locked i5, making it preferable.

Your setup meets the requirements with a 1920x1080 display and 100% scaling. If your screen resolution exceeds that, consider reducing it to match or adjusting graphics settings accordingly.
