Several games are frequently crashing, and I’m unsure of the cause.
Several games are frequently crashing, and I’m unsure of the cause.
My Minecraft game consistently fails to start, and Fortnite frequently crashes during gameplay, causing my computer to freeze and requiring me to manually restart it by holding the power button. Fortnite also displays an error message: "File Block," with a note advising that these can be disregarded if they don't cause issues. Specifically, the system logs indicate a blocked attempt to load “C:\Windows\System32\amdihk64.ddl.” I recently upgraded my graphics card, replacing an Intel 660 UHD with an AMD Radeon 7700 HD. Furthermore, when my computer experiences issues, a prolonged beeping sound is emitted before it successfully restarts on its own. I’m uncertain whether this issue stems from hardware or software and if the “amdihk64.ddl” file is related to my new graphics card’s driver – potentially explaining why Fortnite is blocking its loading. The game performs adequately at low and medium settings with a reduced 3D resolution, maintaining a stable frame rate of 40-60 FPS.
Also, can I get system specs please:
CPU
GPU
Mobo
HDD/SSD
PSU
Operating System
And don't skimp on the model numbers and names please.
Because just saying i7 and Z170 mobo and the like doesn't cut it since that doesn't help me or anyone else to know the actual hardware you have and what we are working with.
Thank you.
Intel Core i5 processor.
AMD Radeon HD 7700 graphics card with 1004 GB of video memory.
Gigabyte Z370 HD3-CF motherboard.
The system has a solid-state drive for Disc C, and five additional hard disk drives.
Power supply unit is currently unknown.
Windows 10 Professional operating system.
Only during Fortnite and similar games do these crashes occur, is that accurate? Do you experience problems when not engaged in gaming?
