Several external IP addresses are unable to forward ports 443 and 80 on the second router.
I'm still learning about networking. I was trying to set up the network myself, thinking it would be easier to assign a block of public IPs directly to each router. I connected my devices using two Linksys routers linked to the same LAN. Router 1 got the correct ports for all traffic, but Router 2 had issues with ports 80 and 443. The gateway is handling the IPs well, but I need to fix how it routes those specific ports. I've turned off firewalls and DHCP on both routers and enabled NAT. Could you help me get Router 2 to forward those ports properly? Thanks in advance.
This means both routers are linked to the identical local network. Are they both using DHCP for IP assignments? Have you configured your servers to rely solely on static IP addresses? Did you verify that the devices intended to be forwarded by the second router have their default gateway pointing to that router? (It’s important to confirm that incoming responses travel through the same router as the requests originate.)
