The installation encountered issues because no servers were set up for the repository. The database synchronization also failed. Adding the configuration lines to pacman.conf appears to be a correct step.

It looks like the repository server is offline. I could post a note on the arch wiki to inform them. It seems the aur package failed because the Linux catalyst isn't being maintained and it doesn't work with xorg versions older than 1.17. You might want to try an older Ubuntu Budgie release, such as 16.04.

I prefer not to return to Ubuntu because of stability problems, and I really like Manjaro Deepin’s appearance. Even though I could install DE, I’d rather avoid switching distros again. So my choices are: 1. stop playing those games, 2. try a different distribution, or 3. upgrade the GPU. Right now I’m playing anyway just to see if it works, but I don’t have the funds for this.

Sorry about the confusion, I meant Deepin. Perhaps you could give it a shot on a USB stick and only switch once you're sure it's working.
