Setup with Quad Stick RAM is performing inefficiently.
During my previous PC upgrade, I chose a 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM kit (Trident Z RGB). It met my needs at the time. However, after some heavy tasks like video editing with Davinci Resolve, I noticed my RAM was running low. I purchased another set, which worked fine initially. But when I added more sticks, performance dropped. Now I understand that increasing the number of modules strains the controller and only supports up to 2933 MHz. Exceeding this causes boot failures. I’m wondering if there’s a way to boost speeds or if I’m at a loss. My current specs are: Ryzen 5 2600, Asus Prime B450 Plus, 4x8GB G.SKILL Trident Z RGB F4-3000C16D-16GTZR.
Updated BIOS version applied, DOCP profile loaded. Speed configured at 2933 and SoC voltage set to 1.1 (dram voltage adjusted per profile). No success. Any value higher than 2733 results in black screen and restart until safe mode is reached.
