It sounds like you're planning a solid setup for both performance and flexibility. Using a 480GB SSD with Windows 10 should work well for gaming, especially if you don’t play much. Pairing it with Arch or Antergos Linux gives you a powerful, lightweight environment for development. Adding a 1TB SSHD will boost storage capacity and speed. This combination supports your goals nicely—gaming on Windows and coding on Linux.

I chose not to use a VM for simplicity.

I prefer Linux as my primary operating system, with Windows as a backup. If I run a virtual machine, I won’t be able to access my graphics card.

It's correct, but I'd use one for testing items people think could damage your Windows drive.

Looking for a VM for Linux? Your situation sounds promising—both Linux and Windows recognize that an OS is already present.

You're trying to set up a dual-boot system with Windows and Linux on a 1TB SSD. It sounds like you're exploring performance optimization by running Windows alongside Linux. The setup you describe—using GPU passthrough for gaming—is quite advanced, but it can work if done correctly. If you're unsure about the process, checking resources from Lv1Tech might help. For your needs, choosing Arch or Manjaro could simplify things since they handle installation more smoothly. What programs or languages are you planning to use?

I'm planning to use a 2TB HDD and a 120GB SSD. I'll split both partitions so I can run Windows 10 alongside Anterios Linux—HDD for personal use, SSD for system root access.

It seems like you're exploring options for mounting a large 2TB HDD. You mentioned using ext3 on Linux or NTFS on Windows, and installing Ext2Fsd or the ntfs-3g driver. Regarding your question about Antegros—perhaps it's a specific storage device or software you're considering. Let me know if you'd like more details!

You're choosing Arch Linux. Your plan involves setting up Windows 10 as the default, dividing the 60GB SSD into a 30GB partition, and preparing the 2TB HDD by initializing a 1TB volume. The remaining unallocated area will be dedicated to Arch.
